World's first precise anti-cancer 'super platform' built in Hangzhou

At the beginning of 2026, Science, an international top journal, published the significant achievements online: Tan Weihong, the academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, cooperated with the team led by Researcher Wu Qin, and built SPARK-seq, the world's first precise anti-cancer integrated "super platform" at the single-cell resolution in Hangzhou.

This platform can simultaneously identify the surface marker of cancer cell membrane and the targeted nucleic acid aptamer probe. The screening efficiency increases by more than 100 times. The research has been conducted for refractory cancers such as pancreatic cancer and triple negative breast cancer. It is expected to improve the efficiency of drug development and the accuracy of treatment plan formulation.
