Fragrant wintersweet and white plum blossoms in bloom

In Hangzhou Lingfeng Scenic Area, red-heart plum blossoms bloom sporadically, and a few white plum blossoms appear on the branches. Hangzhou Botanical Garden has more than 1,200 wintersweet trees (Chimonanthus praecox), and about 5,000 plum trees (Prunus mume) of various varieties. They are mainly located in Lingfeng Scenic Area. The flowering period of wintersweet is from early December to mid-to-late January next year, while the best viewing period of red plum trees (Prunus mume f. alphandii (Carr.) Rehd.), white plum trees (Flos Pruni mume), and green-leaved plum trees (Prunus mume f. viridicalyx (Makino) T. Y. Chen) is usually in February every year.
