Wenyan Subdistrict is located in the western part of Xiaoshan District. It is situated at the confluence of the Qiantang River, Fuchun River, and Puyang River. On July 29, 2020, the National Healthcare Commission decided to designate Wenyan Subdistrict as a National Hygienic Township for the period of 2017-2019.
